Earn ₹7,000 Monthly! LIC’s Special Scheme for Women’s Financial Empowerment

The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched a special initiative aimed at empowering women financially. The scheme, named ‘Bima Sakhi’, allows women to earn a minimum of ₹7,000 per month. This initiative was introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in December last year to create livelihood opportunities for rural women while spreading awareness about insurance.

The Bima Sakhi Scheme aims to enroll one lakh women in the first year and two lakh women within three years. Under this program, rural women can work as insurance agents, helping LIC expand its reach to remote areas while securing a sustainable income for themselves. Participants will receive a fixed stipend for the first three years in addition to their commission on policy sales. Those who achieve or exceed sales targets will receive extra incentives. LIC also provides special training and financial literacy support to help women succeed in their roles.

Eligible women can apply online by downloading the application form from LIC’s official website (www.licindia.in). This initiative is a significant step towards women’s financial independence and strengthening insurance penetration in rural India. Experts believe that this scheme will not only provide economic security but also transform the future of India’s insurance sector.
