Two Arrested in Spy Trap for Leaking Sensitive Information to Pakistan

In a significant breakthrough, the Uttar Pradesh Police’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested two individuals for allegedly leaking sensitive information to the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI. One of the accused, Ravindra Kumar, was employed at an ordinance factory in Firozabad. The ATS revealed that Kumar, under the influence of an ISI agent posing as “Neha Sharma,” transferred classified information regarding India’s space projects and military drone operations to Pakistan. The arrest followed months of surveillance by the ATS and other agencies.

According to ATS chief Nilabj Chowdhury, Ravindra was tricked into a “honeytrap” by the ISI, wherein the female agent regularly communicated with him on Facebook and extracted confidential data. The leaked information is believed to have significant national security implications, potentially compromising military and space operations. The ATS further discovered that Ravindra had saved the agent’s number under a false name to keep his actions hidden from his family. This case highlights the ongoing threat posed by cyber espionage and the importance of vigilance in safeguarding sensitive national information.
