Grenade Attack at Amritsar Temple, Police Investigating Pakistan Link

Amritsar, March 15: A grenade attack occurred at a temple in Amritsar late Friday night, raising suspicions of Pakistan’s involvement. The attack took place at the Thakur Dwara temple in the Khandwala area, where unidentified assailants threw a hand grenade. While no casualties were reported, the attack sent shockwaves through the local community. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, and initial investigations suggest a possible link to Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI.

This marks the latest in a series of grenade attacks in Punjab over the past four months, with most of the incidents targeting police officers. The recent attack on a religious site has sparked concerns of growing unrest in the region. Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Bhullar mentioned that there have been multiple previous instances linking such attacks to Pakistan’s ISI. Authorities are currently conducting intensive searches to apprehend the suspects. The incident has been strongly condemned by the Shiromani Akali Dal, with demands for a judicial inquiry into the matter.
