Grow Coriander in Summer and Earn Lakhs in 40 Days!

After harvesting paddy, chili, and cotton during winter, most farmers leave their fields empty in March. However, this period can be utilized for growing coriander, which requires minimal investment and yields significant profits in just 40 days.
Coriander leaves are in high demand during summer, but their supply is low. This creates a lucrative opportunity for farmers to cultivate coriander in their unused fields and earn high returns. According to agricultural expert Dr. N.C. Tripathi, March to April is the best time for coriander cultivation. Farmers should plow the land well, remove weeds, and mix organic manure like cow dung into the soil to enhance fertility.
The best variety for high yield is ‘Hisar Sugandh.’ Coriander seeds should be soaked before sowing to ensure better germination, which starts within three to four days. By 35-40 days, the crop is ready for harvest. During summer, coriander leaves fetch ₹250-₹300 per kg in the market, allowing farmers to generate substantial income in a short period.
