Grenade Attack on Amritsar Temple! Punjab CM Sees Pakistan’s Hand

A grenade attack occurred at a temple in Khandwa, Amritsar on March 14, with Punjab Police releasing CCTV footage capturing the incident. The 1 minute and 22 seconds viral clip shows two young men arriving on a motorcycle late at night. One of them dismounted, looked around cautiously, and hurled a grenade before fleeing the scene on their bike. Moments later, a powerful explosion rocked the area. Although no casualties were reported, the act has instilled fear among locals. During the attack, the assailants also carried a flag, raising suspicions about their motives.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has alleged involvement of Pakistan-based elements in the attack. He emphasized that Pakistan frequently attempts to disrupt peace in Punjab by smuggling explosives and drugs through drones. While no concrete evidence has surfaced yet, past incidents have shown links to Pakistani militants. Punjab Police have launched an investigation, suspecting militant support behind this attack. Authorities are probing the origin of the grenades and whether more weapons remain in circulation. Meanwhile, in a separate incident coinciding with the festival of Holi, police arrested a suspect involved in another attack near Amritsar’s Golden Temple. The state government asserts that law and order remains under control despite these alarming events.
