Although no casualties were reported, the act has instilled fear among locals. During the attack, the assailants also carried a flag, raising suspicions about their motives.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has alleged involvement of Pakistan-based elements in the attack. He emphasized that Pakistan frequently attempts to disrupt peace in Punjab by smuggling explosives and drugs through drones.
