Lucknow: What was supposed to be a night of joy turned into a nightmare for a newlywed couple in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut. The groom, Amit Kumar, tragically lost his life on his wedding night after slipping in the bathroom, leaving the entire family in mourning.

Around 2 AM, Amit went to the bathroom without turning on the light to avoid disturbing anyone. Unfortunately, he lost his footing on the stairs leading to the bathroom, fell, and suffered a severe head injury. Hearing the loud thud, his wife rushed to the scene and found him lying in a pool of blood. Her screams alerted the family, who immediately took Amit to the hospital.

Despite all efforts, his condition worsened, and he was referred to AIIMS Delhi for further treatment. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday evening. The heartbreaking incident left his wife widowed just six days after their wedding.
