Mumbai: The Mukherjee family in Mumbai has lost one of its most cherished members. On the day of Holi, the entertainment industry mourned the sudden demise of veteran actor Dev Mukherjee, a beloved figure in Bollywood and an integral part of the Mukherjee household. Known for his warmth and wisdom, Dev was not just a guiding light for the family but also played a key role in their iconic Durga Puja celebrations. His passing has left a deep void in the lives of his loved ones, including actresses Kajol and Rani Mukherjee, who shared a close bond with their uncle.

Dev Mukherjee passed away on Friday, March 14, at the age of 83, after a prolonged illness due to age-related complications. His last rites were performed later that evening at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Juhu, Mumbai. Several Bollywood personalities, including Ajay Devgn, Tanuja, and Ranbir Kapoor, are expected to have attended the funeral to pay their final respects.
