Last Chance: Invest in Women’s Savings Certificate Before March 31

The deadline for investing in the Women’s Honor Savings Certificate (MSSC) scheme is fast approaching, with March 31, 2025, being the final date. As of now, the government has not extended the timeline for this investment scheme, which is offered under the post office for women. Any woman who has not yet invested in this scheme has until March 2025 to do so. After that, the program may close unless the government decides to extend it.
Launched on March 31, 2023, as part of India’s Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, the MSSC scheme is aimed at empowering women financially and providing them with economic independence. The scheme offers an attractive annual interest rate of 7.5%, which is higher than the interest offered by most banks for two-year fixed deposits. It is a safe investment option, as it is backed by the government. Women can invest a minimum of Rs. 1,000 and up to Rs. 2 lakh under this scheme, with the principal and interest paid back after two years.
