India In UN: Kashmir will not become yours by repeating the same lines, India silenced Pakistan in the UN

India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Parvathyni Harish on Friday, March 14, strongly criticized Pakistan’s claims and statements on Jammu and Kashmir. She also said that repeating the same lines on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir will not make this important part of India a part of Pakistan. Parvathyni Harish clearly said that Jammu and Kashmir was, is and will remain an integral part of India.
Parvathyni Harish criticized Pakistan at the UN meeting held to celebrate the International Day against Islamophobia worldwide. Describing India’s reaction to Pakistan’s recent statement at the UN, he said, “As is his usual habit, Pakistan’s former foreign secretary today once again made unnecessary references to Indian Union-administered Jammu and Kashmir. Repeatedly raising the issue of Jammu and Kashmir will neither validate his claim to the territory nor justify his support for cross-border terrorism. ‘Such efforts by Pakistan will not change the fact that Jammu and Kashmir was, is and will remain an integral part of India,’ he said.
Parvathini Harish’s statement on behalf of the Indian government came after India on Friday rejected Pakistan’s allegations, in which Pakistan had accused India of the train hijacking incident in its country. India had rejected these allegations, saying that the world knows very well where the real center of global terrorism is.
‘India has the largest Muslim population’
Parvathini Harish said at the UN meeting, ‘India is a land of Diversity and Pluralism. There are more than 200 million Muslims in India and it is one of the largest Muslim populations in the world. India is united as a member of the UN in condemning incidents of religious intolerance against Muslims. Parvathini Harish also said that promoting a world free from religious discrimination, hatred and violence has always been a way for India.
