150 Pakistani soldiers killed while trying to rescue hostages from hijacked train

150 Pakistani soldiers were shot dead by the bullets of Baloch rebels while trying to rescue the hostages of the hijacked Zafar Express. This claim was made by former Pakistani MP Abdul Qadir Baloch on Tuesday (March 11).

He claimed that so far 182 hostages are in the hands of the terrorists.

Most of the hostages are passengers of the train that was hijacked. The Baloch terrorists had warned the Shahbaz Sharif-led government in the afternoon that there would be a flood of bodies of hostages if the army launched an operation to rescue the hostages. According to sources, the terrorists blew up the railway line, due to which top officials of the Pakistani army are considering launching an operation by air to reach the hijacked train.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has been waging a shadow war against the Pak government for a long time demanding independence. Balochistan, the largest province of Pakistan, is the most naturally rich, but it is gradually slipping out of the hands of the Balochs. In the last few years, armed groups like BLA and ‘Baloch Nationalist Army’ (BNA) have alleged that Pakistan and China are plundering the natural resources of Balochistan. Today, on Tuesday (March 11), the Zafar Express was captured by BLA terrorists while going from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, to Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. As soon as this incident came to light, there was widespread uproar.

Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind told reporters, ‘Zafar Express, along with passengers, was snatched by Baloch rebels in the eighth tunnel of the railway line surrounded by mountains while going from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, to Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. After the snatching, so that the army could not reach the terrorists, the railway line behind was blown up. As soon as the news of train snatching was received, the Balochistan provincial government has issued the highest alert. The army can start an operation to free the hijacked train. After this news, the Baloch rebels have given a stern warning to the Shahbaz Sharif government.’

On the other hand, after the snatching of Zafar Express, the Pakistan Railway Ministry has decided to stop trains going to Quetta from various stations of the country. Because the train going from Quetta to Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, is standing in the eighth tunnel of the railway line surrounded by mountains. Heavy firing is going on between Pakistani soldiers and Baloch rebels. Therefore, the Railway Ministry does not want to take any risk.
