Pakistan’s Ambassador Faces Trouble While Vacationing in the US, Sent Back from Airport

The United States sent back Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkmenistan from the airport itself. However, it is still unclear why he was not allowed to stay in the US. The reason is that the US Immigration Department has not explicitly stated any cause. Acknowledging the authenticity of the news, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has also issued a statement.

Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkmenistan, KK Wagon, had set off for the US to spend a vacation in Los Angeles. According to reports from multiple news outlets, despite having a valid visa, he was stopped by immigration officials at the airport. This Pakistani diplomat was instructed to return.

According to several news reports, the US Immigration Department learned that certain aspects of this Pakistani diplomat’s visa were controversial and suspicious. However, nothing has been officially stated about this matter. On behalf of Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, it was said in this regard that, “KK Wagon has been sent back from the US. He was returned due to objections from the Immigration Department.” The Pakistan Foreign Ministry has directed the consulate in Los Angeles to look into the matter.

Notably, just last week, the news agency Reuters reported that the Donald Trump administration is preparing to impose restrictions on the entry of Pakistani citizens into the US. Following this, many consider the incident of the Pakistani ambassador being sent back from the airport to be significant.
