A woman allegedly killed a young man on suspicion of having a romantic relationship with her daughter. Not just the young man, but his mother was also killed, according to allegations. The incident occurred in Kajo village in the Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh.

According to police sources, on Monday night, the accused woman, Shanti Devi, along with her two sons — Sanu and Shravan — attacked the house of a young man named Sarvajeet Divakar.

They were armed with an axe. According to allegations, they used that axe to attack Sarvjeet. At that time, his mother, Sangita, was also at home. She too was allegedly attacked.

Upon receiving the information, the police reached the scene. They rescued both victims, who were found covered in blood, and rushed them to the hospital. Both mother and son died while undergoing treatment. In connection with this case, the police have already arrested Shravan. However, the other two accused are still at large. According to police sources, Shanti and her elder son Sanu have been on the run since the incident.

Why was Sarvjeet attacked? According to police sources, during questioning, Shravan admitted that Sarvjeet had developed a relationship with his sister. His mother had objected to this romantic relationship. Despite repeated warnings, they couldn’t stop their daughter. Shravan informed the police that they had gone to warn Sarvjeet because of this. However, during the heated argument, an attack was launched on Sarvjeet. While trying to intervene, his mother was also injured.
