Mumbai’s lifeline, the local train, carries millions of passengers daily. Even a minute’s delay in the local train causes major inconvenience to the commuters. However, today, the Nerul-Uran local train service on the Harbour Line was halted for more than two hours. The train stopped near the Reti Bandar bridge in Belapur due to a technical fault in the tracks.

This disruption caused significant distress to the office-goers who were heading home after work. Many passengers were forced to walk home as the services were halted for an extended period. The breakdown created chaos as commuters struggled to find alternative transportation options.
