TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh has claimed that four BJP Members of Parliament (MPs) from Bengal, including Haldia MLA Tapasi Mondal, are ready to join the Trinamool Congress (TMC). According to Ghosh, these BJP leaders are waiting for a green signal to switch parties. He further stated that 10 to 13 prominent BJP leaders, including several MLAs, are in regular contact with the TMC, signaling potential shifts in allegiance.

Ghosh also emphasized that while these leaders are still with the BJP, they are doing so because it benefits them at the moment. He suggested that once the time is right, many of these BJP members would be more inclined to join TMC, strengthening the party’s position in the state.
