Only a few days are left. Then the new financial year will begin. Before that, a great piece of good news has come for central government employees. It is learned that the Unified Pension Scheme is being launched from April 1st, ensuring a minimum pension guarantee for central government employees.

The Finance Minister made a big proposal for allocation for pension

The Finance Ministry wants to keep money in hand in advance for this central pension scheme. This is why they want to allocate a total of 7 thousand crore rupees in the pension sector. Today, i.e. Tuesday, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has proposed an additional expenditure of 51 thousand crore rupees in the budget for the current financial year in Parliament.

It is learned that out of this additional expenditure, a total of 7 thousand crore rupees has been kept for the Unified Pension Scheme. It is said that about 23 lakh central government employees will benefit from this central pension scheme in the future. According to Finance Ministry sources, a total of Rs 6,250 crore will be spent on this pension sector in the first year.

According to the information received through sources, a total of Rs 800 crore will be required for the arrears of pension of government employees. Therefore, money is being arranged in advance to avoid any problem later.

Today, the Finance Minister has sought permission in Parliament for an additional expenditure of about Rs 6.78 lakh crore. It is learnt that out of this, a total of Rs 51,000 crore will be additional expenditure, and the remaining money will come from the money saved in various projects. Apart from this, the Finance Minister has also sought additional allocation for fertilizer subsidy today. However, no money has been allocated to the Oil Ministry for the losses of state-owned companies for cooking gas.
