Protest against Israel, US student arrested! Trump says ‘this is the first, there will be more’

US President Donald Trump had previously promised to take strict action against anti-Israel human rights activists. As promised, agents of the US Department of Homeland Security arrested a graduate student from Columbia University in New York.

It is learned that the student named Mahmoud Khalil played an important role in the pro-Palestinian protests. In a post on Truth Social, Trump also announced the arrest of this green card-holding American student. Trump wrote, ‘This arrest is the first, there will be many more’.

Not only that, Trump also referred to the student as a ‘pro-Hamas radical foreign student’. He claimed that there are many other students like Khalil on college campuses who are ‘involved in pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic, anti-American activities’.

The US President also ridiculed all of them as ‘paid activists’. He made it clear that he and his country will find those who sympathize with these terrorists (Mahmoud Khalil). They will be arrested and deported.

The Student Workers of Columbia Labor Union issued a statement saying that Khalil was arrested from his university residence on Saturday evening. Khalil is a student at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. His wife is a US citizen and is eight months pregnant.

It is known that Mahmoud Khalil himself is a green card holder, i.e. a permanent resident of the United States. Civil rights groups in that country have strongly criticized the student’s arrest in the incident.
