Urdu University team achieves great success in National Youth Festival

Hyderabad. Maulana Azad National Urdu University team has performed brilliantly in the National Youth Festival organized by All India Associations of Indian Universities and has won second prize in Mime and third prize in One Act Drama. It is to be noted that this time, teams from 144 universities of the country participated in this program held from March 3 to 7 at Amity University, Noida in various categories. Maulana Azad National Urdu University team had won second prize in Mime and third prize in One Act Drama in the South East Zone Youth Festival held at Christ University, Bangalore in the last week of December, due to which it got the opportunity to participate in this national level competition. On this occasion, Sheikh-ul-Jamiah Professor Syed Ainul Hassan expressed happiness and said that our students deserve congratulations for this high performance. They worked hard and dedicatedly for this competition and rehearsed till late at night. University Cultural Coordinator and Drama Club President Meraj Ahmed left no stone unturned in their training. Along with this, Drama Club Mentor Dr. Adnan Bismillah also extended his full support in this regard. It has been only two years since the establishment of the Cultural Activity Center. During this time, Manu’s team has won twice at the zonal level and this time at the national level. This is a matter of pride and honor for us. Congratulating the team, Registrar Professor Ishtiaq Ahmed said that the university has tried to ensure that all facilities are provided to the students associated with the Cultural Activity Center so that they can fully express their talents in academic and cultural activities. I am happy that the students have brought glory to our university in this national competition. Dean Student Welfare Prof. Syed Aleem Ashraf Jaisi said that it is a great joy for me that our students have created history in this biggest national level student competition. I would like to congratulate all the students who won the competition as well as the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Syed Ainul Hassan, under whose compassionate and intellectual leadership the university is continuously setting new milestones of development. I would like to specially congratulate the University Cultural Coordinator and President of the Drama Club, Mr. Meraj Ahmed, whose hard work day and night has paid off today. I am extremely grateful to the Registrar of the university, Prof. Ishtiaq Ahmed and other officials whose cooperation we always get. Mr. Shyam Kishore, a prominent theatre and film artist and an alumnus of the National School of Drama, Delhi, has also congratulated the team and expressed his best wishes for further successes in the future. He was recently invited to the Mano Campus for a training workshop for the team participating in the Youth Festival.
