Enmity cannot be removed from a mosque in the name of Indian victory: Shahr Qazi’s big statement on Mhow violence

Violence broke out in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh on Sunday evening, March 9, when people took to the streets and took out a procession to celebrate Team India’s victory in the Champions Trophy. When the procession passed in front of the mosque, the atmosphere of joy suddenly turned into tension due to stone pelting and a fight broke out between the two communities.
ABP News spoke to Shahr Qazi in this regard. The Shahr Qazi said about the incident in Mhow that people were going here after offering prayers. At that time, it was the last part of the procession. One of them threw something like a satli bomb. At that time, chaos broke out. When I came out, I saw that the person who had thrown the bomb was surrounded by people. There were two policemen there. With the help of the policemen, I rescued the person and sent him home.
Incidentally, after that, some people came and asked me that you are a gentleman, how did all this happen in your presence? We will talk to you at the police station. Then I said that you should also reach the police station, we will also come. We will sit there and talk. These people got up from here and went there and then stone pelting started.
Both sides are alleging that the stone pelting started from the front. On this, Qazi Sahib said that it is not that cameras are not installed everywhere. It is the responsibility of the administration to see the cameras from both sides and investigate impartially. Everything will become clear. I am an eyewitness, I will not deny what I saw.
The question is also being raised that this was a victory procession of Team India, it could have been taken out from anywhere. On this, Qazi said that if you want, you can take out victory processions every morning and evening. Take us along too. However, if you are taking out something in the form of a procession, there will be some rules and regulations for it. Will the procession be taken out without the administration? Will the processions be taken out in front of religious places without the presence of the police?
Qazi said, “The mistake that has happened here should not happen again, this is the real problem, it is not just about the mosque, it is not about the victory of the country either, however, you should keep in mind that no one has any connection with religious places, you cannot remove enmity from the mosque in the name of Indian victory.”
In Mhow, such an incident widens the gap between the two sides. On this, Qazi Sahib said that I have been repeatedly appealing to the people to try to create a better environment than the atmosphere of goodwill that existed earlier. The rift that has arisen between the two classes may take some time to heal, but if the intellectuals of the society rise above childish thinking and work, a lot can happen.
Has there been a mistake on both sides? In response to this question, Qazi Sahib said that mistakes always happen on both sides. In this incident, stones were thrown, flowers were not thrown. None of them was as innocent as they appear. I am saying frankly that it started from there, but before it started Afterwards, there was only stone pelting from both sides, no one showered flowers.
