Indore Traffic Crisis! 8-Storey Multi-Level Parking to Open in April 2026 for Much-Needed Relief

Residents of Indore struggling with traffic jams and scarce parking spots are set to receive major relief. A state-of-the-art, eight-storey multi-level car parking facility near Greater Kailash Hospital is scheduled to become fully operational in April 2026. This modern structure aims to declutter the city’s busy arteries and provide a seamless parking experience.
Hydraulic System and Smart Access The facility is a marvel of modern engineering, utilizing a hydraulic lift system to maximize space. It can accommodate approximately 150 cars and 150 two-wheelers simultaneously. Equipped with 24/7 CCTV surveillance and automated entry/exit points, the facility ensures both security and convenience for commuters.
The BOT Development Model Developed on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis, the project is being executed by a private agency in coordination with the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC). Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav recently inspected the site, confirming that while construction faced initial hurdles, the facility will be ready for the public by its April 2026 deadline.
A Zero-Tolerance Policy for Roadside Parking Once the multi-level parking opens, authorities plan to strictly prohibit roadside parking in the area to free up lanes for moving traffic and footpaths for pedestrians. Similar projects are also being planned for other high-traffic zones like Rajwada, Vijaynagar, and Bhawarkuan to transform Indore into a more organized and commuter-friendly city.
