High Tension in Bhowanipore During Suvendu Adhikari’s Rally! Slogan War Erupts Between TMC and BJP

The political temperature in West Bengal reached its peak on Sunday as Bhowanipore witnessed fierce clashes during BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari’s “Janasanyog Yatra.” The constituency, which is the home turf of CM Mamata Banerjee, turned into a scene of chaotic slogans and counter-slogans as TMC and BJP supporters came face-to-face.
The Clash of Narratives: As Adhikari entered the Jadubabu Bazar and Chakraberia areas, TMC workers greeted him with black flags and chants of “Chor Chor” and “Go Back.” The BJP cadre responded with thunderous “Jai Shri Ram” and “Parivartan” slogans. The verbal spat soon escalated into a physical standoff, forcing the police to deploy additional forces and create barricades to separate the two groups.
Suvendu’s Challenge: Despite the chaos, Suvendu Adhikari continued his march, asserting that Bhowanipore is no longer a TMC bastion. “The people of Bhowanipore will repeat history like Nandigram. TMC is scared of our growing support, which is why they are trying to obstruct our rallies using state-sponsored muscle power,” Adhikari claimed. Local TMC leaders, however, dismissed the event as a “deliberate provocation” by the BJP to incite violence.
