Hanuman Jayanti Feast Turns Deadly! Over 100 Students Fall Ill in Gujarat School Food Poisoning

A festive celebration turned into a nightmare in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar district on Thursday after more than 100 primary school students fell ill following a meal served during a Hanuman Jayanti event. The incident occurred at Langri Primary School, where a local community group, Mahavir Samaj, had organized a special breakfast comprising Pav Bhaji and Pulao for the children. Shortly after consumption, students began complaining of severe abdominal pain and nausea.

Panic gripped parents and school authorities as several children started vomiting simultaneously. Local administration acted swiftly, rushing 25 students in critical condition to Mahuva General Hospital for urgent treatment. Another 60 students were provided primary medical aid within the village. Preliminary medical reports suggest a severe case of food poisoning. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the quality of the ingredients used by the local organization, and food samples have been sent for forensic analysis.
