Fix the Supply Chain, Monitor Every Cylinder! Mamata Issues Stern Orders Amid LPG Crisis

Taking proactive measures against the worsening LPG (cooking gas) crisis, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee chaired an emergency high-level meeting at Nabanna today. Expressing concern over the international fuel supply disruptions caused by the Middle East war, the CM directed the administration to ensure that the common man’s kitchen remains unaffected by artificial shortages.

The Chief Minister issued a set of strict guidelines to the state police and district officials. “Focus on the stock, keep the supply chain intact,” she commanded, emphasizing that any attempt at black marketing or overcharging for cylinders would be met with severe legal action. She ordered local administrations to conduct surprise raids on distribution centers to verify current inventory levels.

To streamline the distribution, Mamata Banerjee has ordered the formation of a dedicated task force that will monitor the movement of LPG trucks and deliveries daily. She also criticized the Central Government for failing to build adequate reserves despite knowing the geopolitical risks. By taking control of the local supply logistics, the West Bengal government aims to stabilize the market and prevent panic among consumers.
