“Don’t take cash from sinners, it ruins character!” Mamata’s stern warning to party workers in Garbeta

In a high-voltage election rally at Garbeta, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee delivered a scathing attack on the opposition while setting a strict code of conduct for her party workers. Addressing a massive crowd, the TMC supremo warned her cadres against any financial corruption, stating, “Do not take cash from sinners; it destroys your character.” This direct instruction is being seen as a strategic move to clean up the party’s image ahead of the crucial polls.
The Chief Minister also raised serious allegations regarding the timing of investigative procedures. She claimed that the SIR (Special Investigation Report/Action) was initiated “cleverly” just three months before the elections to intimidate the ruling party. Furthermore, Mamata made a sensational claim that had it not been for the Trinamool Congress’s fierce resistance, the names of nearly 5 crore citizens would have been arbitrarily struck off the voter lists.
“We are the ones standing between the people and those who want to snatch their rights,” Banerjee asserted. She urged her party workers to stay vigilant and maintain high moral standards, emphasizing that no amount of money is worth compromising one’s integrity. The Chief Minister reiterated that the upcoming election is a battle to protect the identity of Bengal and ensure that no legitimate citizen is rendered stateless or disenfranchised by the centralgovernment’s policies.
