“BJP is Anti-Development, Only Knows Division!” Abhishek Banerjee’s Direct Attack

Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee has launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of being inherently “anti-development.” Speaking at a massive public rally, Banerjee alleged that the BJP is deliberately creating rifts in society based on religion and caste to distract from their failure to deliver on economic promises.
“The BJP’s dictionary does not contain the word ‘development.’ They are only interested in poison-pen politics,” Abhishek stated. He further claimed that while the state government focuses on social welfare schemes like ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ and ‘Kanyashree,’ the BJP is busy orchestrating communal polarization to secure votes. He emphasized that the people of Bengal prioritize progress over identity-based conflict.
Banerjee also criticized the central government for neglecting the basic needs of the common man, such as job security and infrastructure, while promoting a divisive narrative. According to him, this strategy is a desperate attempt to cover up administrative failures. He urged TMC workers to expose the BJP’s “politics of division” at the grassroots level.
This speech marks a significant escalation in the political rhetoric ahead of the upcoming elections, with the TMC positioning itself as the champion of inclusive growth against the BJP’s alleged communal agenda. Abhishek concluded by asserting that the electorate will choose prosperity over polarization, dealing a heavy blow to the BJP’s ambitions in the state.
