‘BJP Hiding Deleted Names From Supplementary List!’ Mamata’s Explosive Claim In Pandaveswar

In a major political escalation ahead of the general elections, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has accused the BJP-led Central Government of orchestrating a “secret plot” to manipulate the voter lists. Addressing a massive public gathering at Pandaveswar in Paschim Bardhaman on Thursday, she alleged that a significant number of names have been removed from the ‘supplementary voter lists’ and that this data is being deliberately concealed by the saffron party.
Mamata Banerjee directed a scathing attack at the BJP, stating, “The BJP knows they cannot win through fair means in Bengal. Therefore, they have started playing dirty games with the voter lists. They have hidden the fact that thousands of names have been axed in the supplementary lists.” She further alleged that this is a systematic effort to disenfranchise specific communities and those who are vocal against the BJP’s policies.
The TMC supremo urged her supporters to be extremely vigilant. “I request everyone to re-verify their names in the list immediately. Even if you have a voter ID card, you cannot vote if your name is missing from the registry,” she warned, linking the issue to the broader concerns of NRC and CAA. According to her, deleting names is the first step toward labeling citizens as foreigners.
While the BJP has dismissed these allegations as “baseless rhetoric” aimed at creating communal tension, the Chief Minister’s claims have ignited a fresh debate over electoral transparency. With the voting dates approaching, Mamata’s focus on the ‘Supplementary List’ has shifted the political discourse toward the integrity of the voting process in West Bengal.
