Big Relief for UP Board Class 12 Students! Practical Exam Deadline Extended to Feb 13

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced a significant extension for the Class 12 Intermediate Practical Exams 2026. Recognizing that several schools failed to complete the examinations by the previous deadline of February 9, the board has pushed the last date to February 13, 2026. This decision comes as a major relief for students whose practicals were delayed due to administrative hurdles or technical glitches.
Why the Extension Was Necessary: The first phase of practicals, initially scheduled between January 24 and February 1, faced major disruptions due to severe weather conditions across the state. Despite earlier extensions, many schools in the second phase also reported unfinished exams and difficulties in uploading marks online. Reports of disturbances at some exam centers also prompted the board to demand a detailed report and provide this final window to ensure no student is left behind.
Strict Warnings to School Principals: UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh has issued a circular directing all principals to ensure that all remaining practicals are conducted and marks are successfully uploaded on the official portal by February 13. The board explicitly stated that if a student’s final result is adversely affected due to a failure in uploading marks within this stipulated time, the concerned examiner, principal, and District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) will be held directly responsible.
