Big Relief for Unemployed Youth! CM Mamata Banerjee Gives Major Update on ‘Yubasathi’ Scheme Payments

Following the massive success of various social welfare schemes, the West Bengal government has now introduced the ‘Yubasathi’ project to support the state’s unemployed youth. Under this initiative, eligible candidates between the ages of 21 and 40 will receive a monthly allowance of ₹1,500. The scheme, announced in February, aims to provide financial assistance for daily expenses until the beneficiaries secure employment.
Addressing a public meeting at Pandabeswar, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee assured the youth that those who haven’t received the money yet will get it very soon. “The process is ongoing for Yubasathi. Those who are pending will receive the funds in their accounts shortly,” she stated. The CM emphasized that this is not a permanent dole but a ‘hand-expense’ support to empower nearly 1 crore young men and women in the state during their job-seeking phase.
