Bhopal’s Terror ‘Serial Cutter Man’ Arrested: Violent Revenge Against Women Over Marital Spat!

The reign of terror in Madhya Pradesh’s capital, Bhopal, has finally ended with the arrest of the notorious ‘Serial Cutter Man.’ For the past week, girls and women in the Piplani and Ayodhya Nagar areas were living in constant fear as a masked man on a bike randomly attacked them with sharp cutters or blades. The situation was so dire that college students changed their daily routines, and parents refused to let their daughters out after sunset.

The investigation has unmasked a disturbing motive. The accused, a resident of Sagar district, was embroiled in a long-standing domestic dispute with his wife. Police revealed that his psychological instability and pent-up frustration from his failed marriage led him to vent his rage on innocent women. In a distorted quest for revenge against his wife, he began targeting lone women on the streets, inflicting injuries without any provocation.

Capturing him was a Herculean task for the Bhopal Police. The attacker was meticulously careful—he always wore a mask, used a motorcycle without a number plate, and struck in areas where streetlights were non-functional. It took a massive operation involving 25 police teams and the scanning of over 200 CCTV camera feeds to track his movement. After six days of relentless pursuit, he was apprehended in the Minal area while allegedly planning another strike. A reward of ₹20,000 had been placed on his head. With this arrest, the city’s sense of security has been restored, closing a dark chapter of psychological violence.
