To cater to the massive surge in tourism and the resulting crisis of confirmed tickets, Eastern Railway has officially announced a series of Summer Special Trains connecting Kolkata to New Jalpaiguri (NJP).

These special services are designed to ease the burden on regular trains like the Darjeeling Mail and Padatik Express, which are currently running with massive waiting lists. The special trains will operate from Sealdah and Kolkata stations, providing much-needed connectivity for families planning their summer vacations in North Bengal.

According to the railway schedule, these trains will feature a mix of AC and non-AC coaches to suit every traveler’s budget. The route will cover major junctions including Bandel, Katwa, Azimganj, and Malda Town before reaching NJP. Passengers can check the specific timings and operational days on the IRCTC portal.
