Beat Board Exam Stress: Special Helpline Launched to Answer Students’ Queries and Boost Confidence

With the board exams fast approaching, the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education has stepped up to help students battle pre-exam jitters. A dedicated helpline desk, operational from February 5th to 18th, is providing a platform for students and parents to seek guidance from subject experts and psychologists.
Addressing the Root of Anxiety: According to Pushpa Sahu, Secretary of the Board, over 250 calls have been handled so far. Common concerns among students include the fear of failure and the pressure of parental expectations. Many children reported being scolded for not studying 24/7, leading to burnout. On the other hand, parents are calling in with concerns about their children’s lack of focus on difficult subjects like Mathematics and Chemistry.
Expert Intervention: The helpline aims to bridge the communication gap between parents and children while debunking myths about the exam. Psychiatrists are helping students manage their stress, while subject matter experts provide clarity on the exam blueprints and question patterns. This initiative is a vital step toward ensuring that students enter the examination hall with a calm mind and a positive outlook.
