Battleground Baranagar: Fierce TMC-BJP Clash Erupts Before Polls, Suvendu Adhikari Fumes!

The political temperature in West Bengal has reached a boiling point as violent clashes broke out between Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Baranagar, North 24 Parganas. The incident, occurring just before the crucial elections, has turned the locality into a virtual fortress.

According to ground reports, the skirmish began when BJP activists were engaged in a local program. Allegedly, a group of TMC supporters intercepted them, leading to a heated exchange that quickly escalated into a physical brawl. Visuals from the spot showed vandalized party offices and injured workers being rushed to nearby medical facilities.

Reacting sharply to the violence, Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari took to social media and public platforms to condemn the “state-sponsored terror.” Adhikari alleged that the TMC is resorting to muscle power because they have lost the ground reality. “The bravery of TMC goons is backed by a section of biased police officers. We are documenting every injury and every attack. The people of Baranagar will give a fitting reply at the polling booths,” Adhikari stated.

The TMC local leadership, however, dismissed the allegations as “fictional stories” manufactured by the BJP to create unrest. They claimed the clash was a result of the BJP’s internal factionalism. As the blame game continues, a heavy police contingent has been deployed in the area to prevent further escalation. The Election Commission has reportedly sought a detailed report on the incident.
