“Ban Mamata from Campaigning!” Suvendu Adhikari Hits Out at CM

In a major political escalation in West Bengal, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has demanded that the Election Commission (EC) impose a ban on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s election campaigning. Adhikari accused the Trinamool Congress supremo of making provocative and inflammatory speeches that incite violence against poll workers and security personnel across the state.
Speaking to the media, Suvendu Adhikari stated that the democratic fabric of the nation is under threat due to the Chief Minister’s remarks. “Mamata Banerjee is directly attacking the election system of the country. Her instigating words are leading to attacks on government officials and security forces on duty,” said the BJP candidate for Nandigram and Bhawanipur.
Adhikari urged the Commission to take immediate and stringent action to ensure a free and fair election. He argued that without a ban on such “hateful rhetoric,” the environment for a peaceful vote would be compromised. This move by the BJP veteran has sparked a fresh war of words between the ruling TMC and the opposition BJP, as both sides gear up for a high-stakes electoral battle. The political circles are now waiting to see how the Election Commission responds to these serious allegations.
