Attention Commuters! Key Sealdah Locals Cancelled on April 4 & 5; Check Your Route Here
Weekend travel plans might hit a snag as the Sealdah Division undergoes crucial signaling and safety upgrades. A 270-minute ‘Traffic Block’ for non-interlocking work at Dum Dum station is scheduled from 11:50 PM on Saturday (April 4) to 4:20 AM on Sunday (April 5). This will significantly impact services on the Sealdah-Dankuni, Ranaghat, Bongaon, and Krishnanagar routes.
Cancelled Trains:
- Saturday Night: Sealdah-Dankuni (32249/32252), Sealdah-Ranaghat (63111), Sealdah-Naihati (31447/31450), and Sealdah-Bongaon (33859/33860).
- Sunday Morning: Sealdah-Dankuni (32211/32212), Sealdah-Krishnanagar (31811 UP), and Sealdah-Bongaon (33811 UP).
Short-Terminations & Diversions: To manage the block, the Lalgola-Sealdah MEMU will terminate at Ranaghat on Saturday. The Shantipur Local will operate to and from Barrackpore instead of Sealdah. Similarly, Bongaon locals will start and end their journey at Dum Dum Cantonment station. Commuters are advised to plan accordingly for the late-night and early-morning disruptions.
