“Are You Running a Potato Warehouse?” Sudipa Chatterjee Slams Artist Forum Over Rahul’s Death!

The tragic death of actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee on the sets of ‘Bhole Baba Paar Karega’ has sparked a major controversy in Tollywood. While the West Bengal Motion Picture Artists’ Forum issued a statement on April 1st seeking answers from the production house ‘Magic Moments,’ the document’s lack of a signature or official stamp has invited severe criticism.

Popular actress and host Sudipa Chatterjee took to social media to lash out at the Forum’s perceived cowardice. “Stop trying to save your skin in the name of tribute. You run an autonomous body, not a potato warehouse inherited as a legacy,” Sudipa wrote. She lamented the loss of the era led by veterans like Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and Arindam Ganguly, when producers were held accountable.

Sudipa’s sarcastic remark, “Let’s keep it quiet—why not just leave anonymous letters at Rahul’s house? That way, you won’t offend the big producers,” has gone viral. She highlighted that without a formal signature, the Forum’s letter holds no legal standing. While several artists have expressed their dissatisfaction over the lack of a clear deadline for the production house to respond, the Forum has remained silent on Sudipa’s stinging allegations.
