Amit Shah in Kolkata Tonight! BJP to Release ‘Charge Sheet’ Against Mamata Govt

The political climate in West Bengal is set to reach a boiling point as Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrives in Kolkata late tonight, Friday. This high-profile visit is centered around a massive offensive against the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC). On Saturday, Shah is scheduled to release a comprehensive ‘Charge Sheet’ or White Paper at a luxury hotel in New Town, detailing the alleged failures and corruption scandals of the Mamata Banerjee administration.

The BJP’s ‘Charge Sheet’ is expected to be a compilation of various scams including recruitment irregularities, ration distribution fraud, and the deteriorating law-and-order situation in the state. Sources indicate that Amit Shah will use this platform to set the narrative for the upcoming Assembly elections, positioning the BJP as the only alternative to the current regime. Following the release, the Home Minister is also likely to hold internal strategy meetings with state leaders Sukanta Majumdar and Suvendu Adhikari to review the party’s ground-level preparedness.

The TMC, however, has dismissed the move as a desperate attempt by the BJP to gain relevance. Trinamool leadership stated that the people of Bengal have repeatedly rejected the BJP’s “divisive politics” and “fake allegations.” Despite the counter-attacks, Shah’s visit remains the center of attention as it marks the beginning of an aggressive campaign phase. As the Home Minister lands in the city, all eyes are on the ‘White Paper’ that promises to reveal sensitive details about the functioning of the state government over the past decade.
