ACB Trap in BDPO Office, Woman Official Caught Red-Handed Over Land Ownership Bribery

The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a female patwari, identified as Sudesh Kumari, for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹20,000 in Kharkhoda. The arrest follows a complaint filed by Anil, a resident of Sisana village, who alleged that the official was demanding money to grant ownership rights for Panchayat land.
Acting on the tip-off, the Rohtak Vigilance team laid a strategic trap inside the BDPO office. In a cunning move to evade direct suspicion, Sudesh reportedly directed the complainant to hand over the cash to a local tea seller acting as her middleman. However, ACB officials, who were monitoring the transaction, swooped in immediately after the money changed hands and apprehended the official. A detailed investigation has been launched to uncover if a larger syndicate is operating within the department.
