The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken a massive organizational step by removing MP Raghav Chadha from the position of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha. Senior leader Ashok Mittal has been appointed as his successor. In a stinging move, the party has reportedly written to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat requesting that Chadha should not be allotted time to speak in the House.

Hours after the demotion, Raghav Chadha posted a three-minute video on social media showcasing his parliamentary highlights, captioned only with an ‘Evil Eye’ emoji—symbolizing protection from negative forces.

Speculation about a rift between Chadha and the AAP leadership has been rife since the party’s poor performance in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. His absence from the star campaigner list for the Assam polls and his focus on independent issues like flight prices and gig workers’ rights have fueled rumors of a potential exit.
