Remembering Babasaheb: PM Modi & President Murmu Pay Tribute on Ambedkar Jayanti

On the occasion of the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu led the nation in paying rich tributes to the architect of the Indian Constitution.
In a post on X, PM Modi remarked, “Prostrations to Babasaheb Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. His efforts in nation-building deeply inspire us. His life and work inspire future generations to build a fair and progressive society.” President Droupadi Murmu described Dr. Ambedkar as a visionary jurist, economist, and social reformer who dedicated his life to the upliftment of the marginalized sections of society. She urged citizens to adopt his ideals to build an inclusive and progressive nation.
Born into a humble family in Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Ambedkar rose to become independent India’s first Law and Justice Minister. Known as the ‘Father of the Indian Constitution,’ his tireless fight for social justice earned him the Bharat Ratna in 1990. Today, his legacy continues to serve as a guiding light for India’s democratic and constitutional values.
