Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached out to the women of India with a powerful message regarding the long-pending Women’s Reservation Bill. In a heartfelt letter addressed to ‘Nari Shakti’, the Prime Minister assured that 33% reservation in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies will be a reality by the 2029 elections. “This issue has been stuck for decades; it is time our mothers and sisters get their due rights,” PM Modi stated.
Speaking during his campaign in West Bengal, the Prime Minister revealed that the Central Government has summoned a special session of Parliament from April 16 to 18. The session will focus on the necessary amendments to the Women’s Reservation Act to ensure its seamless implementation across the country, including West Bengal.
