Tensions soared in Bhangar once again as police recovered a cache of illegal arms and ammunition during a high-stakes midnight raid on Thursday. Acting on a tip-off, the Uttar Kashipur Police had been monitoring Habibaur Rahman Molla, an ISF activist, for several days. As soon as Habibaur entered his residence in the Raghunathpur Khalpar area, a police team swooped in, discovering three firearms and two live cartridges hidden within the premises.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the accused might be operating as a local arms dealer, supplying weapons to stir unrest during the upcoming elections. While the police are interrogating Habibaur to trace the origin of the weapons, his family has dismissed the allegations, claiming he is being framed due to political vendetta.
