Horror in Hyderabad: 3-Day-Old Stale Biryani Sent to Online Customer; Restaurant Sealed

A customer’s Sunday lunch turned into a nightmare after receiving rotten food from a prominent Hyderabad eatery. Following a formal complaint, the Banjara Hills police have sealed “Lucky Biryani Shawarma” and registered a case against the owner, Irfan, for supplying spoiled food through the Zomato delivery app.
The investigation revealed that the chicken biryani delivered to the resident of Banjara Hills Road No. 2 was cooked three days prior. When the police raided the premises, they discovered nearly 80 packets of stale biryani stored in a refrigerator infested with rats and cockroaches. It was found that the owner would cook and pack the meals at a different location (Jidimetla) and simply reheat them before dispatching orders.
Food Safety officials have inspected the site and confirmed the highly unhygienic conditions. Hyderabad police have intensified their vigil against food adulteration and the sale of stale products. Citizens are encouraged to report any such incidents to the H-FAST helpline at 8712661212 to ensure public health safety.
