“Leave Iran Immediately!” Indian Embassy Issues Urgent Exit Order for Citizens

Despite rumors of a de-escalation in conflict, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has issued a stern advisory for Indian nationals, urging them to leave Iran immediately. Citing the security assessment of current conditions and following the previous advisory from April 7, the embassy emphasized that those still residing in Iran should prioritize their departure without further delay.

The embassy has warned citizens against moving toward international land borders without prior coordination. Instead, they have been advised to stay in touch with embassy officials and utilize the specific evacuation routes provided. A dedicated helpline number has also been established for emergency assistance. The latest guidelines further suggest that citizens avoid contact with electronic or military equipment and refrain from staying on the upper floors of high-rise buildings. This follows yesterday’s stay-at-home order, indicating that while the situation may seem quiet, the threat level remains critically high for expatriates.
