Traveling to the seaside is now more affordable and reliable! South Eastern Railway has introduced a new permanent Fast Passenger train between Santragachi (SRC) and Digha (DGHA), effective from April 4, 2026.

Replacing the previous special trains (02847/02848), the new 58025/58026 Santragachi-Digha Fast Passenger will cater to the heavy weekend rush. The train is scheduled to depart Santragachi every Saturday at 09:10 AM, reaching Digha by 12:45 PM. For the return leg, it leaves Digha at 01:10 PM and arrives back at Santragachi by 04:50 PM.

Route & Composition: The train will provide commercial halts at Uluberia, Bagnan, Mecheda, Tamluk, and Kanthi. Consisting of 8 ICF coaches, this service is designed to offer a cost-effective alternative for commuters and tourists alike.
