“Creativity Cannot Insult Women!” Nora’s Controversial Track Pulled from YouTube After Outcry

The latest song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt has landed in a massive controversy over its suggestive lyrics and objectionable visuals. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken a stern stand against the track from the Kannada film ‘KD: The Devil,’ stating that the dignity of women cannot be compromised under the pretext of artistic freedom.
Following intense backlash, the Hindi version of the song has been removed from YouTube. The Commission registered a suo-motu case after complaints highlighted the vulgarity of the lyrics. During a hearing on Monday, while director Prem and lyricist Raqueeb Alam were present, Nora Fatehi failed to show up. The NCW rejected the presence of her legal counsel and issued a final ultimatum for the actress to appear in person by April 27. Superstar Sanjay Dutt has also been directed to appear before the commission on April 8.
The NCW Chairperson expressed deep dissatisfaction, dismissing the filmmakers’ claims that they “didn’t realize the depth of the suggestive words.” Under pressure, the makers have issued a written apology and admitted that the song had a negative impact on society. They have pledged to work towards women’s empowerment for the next three months and submit a report. The controversy erupted on social media shortly after the song’s release, leading to a complaint with the Delhi Police Cyber Cell and an appeal to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to ban the track entirely.
