Poll Campaign Turns Bloody! BJP Candidate Dalim Roy Seriously Injured During Roadshow

In a sudden turn of events, the BJP candidate for the Maynaguri assembly seat, Dalim Roy, met with a painful accident during his election campaign on Monday evening. While conducting a mass outreach program near Maynaguri Station More, Roy sustained a deep gash on his forehead after accidentally hitting a low-hanging tin roof of a local shop.
The impact was so severe that Roy started bleeding profusely on the spot. Alert party workers immediately rushed him to the Maynaguri Rural Hospital for emergency treatment. BJP district committee member Chanchal Sarkar confirmed that the candidate was entering a pharmacy when the incident occurred.
Doctors have advised the candidate complete bed rest for a few days, leading to a temporary suspension of his election campaign. While local party workers are concerned about the loss of precious campaigning time, sources say Dalim Roy is stable and expected to resume his field activities very soon.
