His wife, actress Priyanka Sarkar, has filed a formal FIR at a local police station in Odisha, demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances of his death. Priyanka has directly named the production house ‘Magic Moments’ in her complaint, alleging criminal negligence and a possible cover-up.

Rahul passed away during a film shoot in Odisha’s Sundargarh district. While initial reports suggested a tragic accident, Priyanka claims there were severe safety lapses on set and the sequence of events provided by the production team is inconsistent. “I want the truth for Rahul,” she stated while addressing the media.
