Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has addressed the growing concerns regarding the alleged discontinuation of the ‘Lakshmi Bhandar’ scheme. Amidst rumors circulating on social media that the monthly financial assistance might be halted, the CM has issued a stern clarification during her recent public rallies, reassuring millions of women across West Bengal.

Addressing the crowds, Banerjee warned beneficiaries to be vigilant against fraud. She alleged that political opponents and scammers might pose as government officials to steal bank details and siphon off funds from Lakshmi Bhandar accounts. “As long as I am here, this scheme will continue for your lifetime,” she asserted. She further added that new applicants would soon start receiving their benefits.
