EC Crackdown in Panihati! Sector Officer Removed for Links with Political Party

In a major move to ensure the sanctity of the electoral process, the Election Commission (EC) has taken strict disciplinary action in the Panihati constituency. A Sector Officer assigned to poll duties was immediately removed from his post following allegations of direct involvement in political activities. This swift action reaffirms the EC’s commitment to conducting fair and unbiased elections in West Bengal.
The incident came to light after complaints were lodged regarding the official’s suspicious proximity to a specific political outfit while on duty. Upon preliminary investigation, the EC found the officer’s conduct to be in violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). Consequently, he was barred from further election-related duties. The Commission has issued a stern warning to all administrative staff that any display of partisanship will be met with immediate suspension and legal proceedings. The removal of the Panihati Sector Officer has sent a strong message across the state’s administrative machinery.
