In a major move to ensure the sanctity of the electoral process, the Election Commission (EC) has taken strict disciplinary action in the Panihati constituency. A Sector Officer assigned to poll duties was immediately removed from his post following allegations of direct involvement in political activities. The incident came to light after complaints were lodged regarding the official’s suspicious proximity to a specific political outfit while on duty.
