In a major counter-offensive, Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari has made a sensational claim regarding the recent unrest in Malda. Refuting CM Mamata Banerjee’s “outsider” theory, Suvendu alleged that the entire violence was pre-planned and “orchestrated from Kolkata” by the Trinamool Congress leadership to gain electoral mileage.

Speaking to reporters, Suvendu stated, “The violence in Malda didn’t happen spontaneously. It was a calculated move designed in the AC rooms of Kolkata to polarize voters before the 2026 elections.” He further alleged that local TMC cadres executed the plan with the tactical support of the administration. Suvendu’s “information leak” has stirred a hornet’s nest in the state’s political landscape, with the BJP now demanding a high-level independent probe. As the election fever peaks, this “conspiracy theory” has become the center of a heated debate between the ruling party and the opposition.
