The Border Security Force (BSF) has successfully foiled an infiltration attempt at the Swarupnagar border in North 24 Parganas. Acting on a tip-off, jawans of the 112th Battalion conducted a swift operation on Friday, leading to the arrest of a Bangladeshi woman and an Indian tout who was facilitating her illegal entry into India.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the woman was trying to cross the international border without any valid travel documents. The arrested agent is believed to be part of a larger cross-border human trafficking syndicate. Amidst heightened security ahead of the elections, this successful apprehension highlights the vigilance of the border guards. Both individuals have been handed over to the Swarupnagar Police Station for further interrogation. Authorities are now probing the extent of this trafficking network and searching for other accomplices involved in the racket.
